Special Educational Needs (SEND)

At the Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation, we aim to give all children equal access to teaching and learning. We aim to plan for continuity and progression at our schools and upon transfer to secondary education. We recognise the entitlement of all pupils to a broad and balanced curriculum. The Governing Board will ensure that appropriate provision will be made for all pupils with SEND.

Information Report

The School SEND information report outlines what we can offer your child so that they can have equal access to the curriculum and make progress in their learning. Information about how to complain regarding SEND is also contained in each of the Information Reports below.

SEND – Local Offer

All North Yorkshire maintained schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND.)   They are supported by the Local Authority to ensure that all pupils, whatever their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school.   The Local Authority publishes its Local Offer which provides information for children and young people with special educational needs (SEND) and their parents or carers in a single place.
