We are looking for someone who is proactive and loves working with children, is hard working and committed to energetic learning to join our fantastic team.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a good understanding of how children learn and develop.
  • Has experience of working in a school, ideally with mixed aged classes.
  • Is able to support the class teacher in meeting the needs of all children.
  • Is able to deliver programmes of work for focus groups of pupils under the direction of the class teacher.
  • Has a good working knowledge of the EYFS framework and National Curriculum
  • Is proactive In their approach
  • Has a good understanding of Safeguarding.
  • Be professional and act with integrity, and has strong time management skills.
  • Is motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable.
  • Can show initiative and is able to work as part of a team.
  • Has excellent communication skills.

Cleaner and Caretaker Vacancy

North Yorkshire Council are currently advertising for a Cleaner and Caretaker vacancy at St Cuthbert's CE Primary School. The position will remain open until 27th May, with shortlisting scheduled to take place shortly after the closing date. Details of the vacancy are below.
In addition to the Cleaner Caretaker role we also have a vacancy to assist with the transporting of school meals on a lunchtime - this is to bring the meals on a trolley from the school kitchen to the lunch hall each day - approx 30mins 12-12.30. 
 
 

Cleaner and Caretaker

Salary: £13.28 - £13.47 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time
Vacancy Hours:  Up to 13.5 hours per week
Location: Pateley Bridge, North Yorkshire – St Cuthbert’s School
Please note this is a dual role for a Cleaner and Caretaker. We are looking for one person for both roles.
Are you looking for a cleaning role that is a little different? We have an opportunity for you to join North Yorkshire Council working at one of our schools, St Cuthberts CE School, Pateley Bridge.
You will be a valued member of our team who will be reliable, dependable and have a strong work ethic. Working for NYC as a Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleaning duties on site including dusting, vacuuming and the cleaning of sanitary fittings.
Full training will be provided, and the hours are between 15:30 and 18:00, with some flexibility on start and finish time and totalling to 8.5 hours per week over 5 days. For this you will be paid £13.28 per hour. No weekend work!
In addition to this, we can offer the Caretaker responsibilities of unlocking the site and ensuring it is fully secure. For this we will pay you £13.28 - £13.47 per hour, for 5 hours per week. One applicant may be suitable for both roles, although we will consider each role individually.
