Arts and Culture

At The Upper Nidderdale Primary Federation, we offer an extensive Arts and Cuture' programme because we believe that this supports creativity, confidence, communication, teamwork and cultural understanding, while ensuring every child has meaningful access to high-quality arts and cultural experiences.

Our ambitious curriculum gives pupils regular opportunities to create, perform, experience, and understand the arts, while also helping them explore different cultures, traditions, and makes references to possible creative careers.

We also offer Cultural experiences such as;

  • Visits to museums, galleries, theatres and historic sites.
  • Artist, musician, actor and author workshops.
  • Learning about local heritage and community history.
  • Celebrating festivals from different cultures.
  • Opportunities to visit the theatre or to watch live performances through visiting theatre groups.
  • Opportunities to sing live in front of a large audience (Young Voices, Harrogate Rual Schools Annual Concert).
  • Opportunities to listen to musician play live or to take part in concerts themselves.
  • Opportunities to visit art galleries or to take part in lessons with visiting artists.
  • Opportunities  to individually gain the Art Council award.

We also plan whole-school events throughout the year, such as:
